Sand Castles Resort is built on hands by local carpenters in 1989 and was accredited as a "AA" resort by the Department of Tourism. This Australian/Filipino owned resort is an exquisitely crafted, native-style absolutely beach front resort set in tropical gardens on Boracay's main White Sand Beach. Accommodation consists of 20 large cottages(bungalows) and villas built with local materials and decorated with uncluttered simplicity and taste. Ethnic fabric, pottery, bamboo and rattan furnishings, light shades, village terra cotta tiles, and jars & crockery adorn guest rooms.
Cable television, personal refrigerators and lockers available for a fee to long-staying guests is also available. A back to nature ambience with none of the frills, sandcastles resort serves as a resort to weary travelers, or those who simply want to be laid back.
